The DL930
Day-Light Classic was designed to help people who suffer from
seasonal depression (Seasonal Affective Disorder / SAD) or the
winter blues. The DL930 - Day-Light emits 10,000 LUX of light
intensity in a broad field of illumination - The dosage recommended
by most light therapy experts.
The smooth diffusing screen filters out 99.3% of the harmful UV
rays, creating a glare-free light source. Equipped with high
efficiency ballasts, the Day-Light Classic eliminates the annoying
flicker commonly associated with regular fluorescent lights.
Height adjustable legs ensure that the user is receiving optimal
bright light therapy treatment by projecting the light downward over
the user. Bright light therapy has been proven to be effective
treatment for the Winter Blues, Circadian Sleep Disorders, Jet Lag,
Shift Work Adjustment and low energy. The Day-Light Classic meets
all of the criteria set out by the bright light therapy experts for

How to Use the Day-Light Classic:
When used correctly, the Day-Light
Classic is an effective way to help alleviate symptoms experienced with the
winter blues, as well as sleep-related issues during the fall and winter
months or all year round. Bright light therapy has been shown success to
help relieve Sleeping difficulties, Jet Lag, Shift Work Adjustment and low
energy.
For optimal light therapy, the Day-Light Classic must be used with the
height adjustable legs. There are 3 height adjustment options and the
correct height will allow your eyes to be positioned toward the center of
the light screen. Select the three-light setting which delivers 10,000 LUX
of illumination - the amount recommended by experts (the two light setting
delivers 7,000 LUX).
Begin with 30 minutes at 10,000 LUX shortly after awakening. Sit 11”-12"
from the light. At this distance you can read, check e-mail or eat breakfast
comfortably during your bright light therapy sessions. People respond
differently to light and the therapy time may need to be adjusted.
